Cabochons, hematite, 7x5mm, 30gms
These are oval cabochons probably made by Gustav Lindner of Kaufbeuren in Western Germany. I say that because all that's on the packet is "Made in Western Germany", but most of the other stock I have is labelled as Gustav Lindner or Swarovski and these cabs are very much in the same style. I have about 70gms of them, so I'm dividing them into 2 lots.

There'll be about 30gms each lot. I know what you're thinking, you're thinking I can't do maths, half 70 is more than 30. OK, I'm being on the cautious side, just in case a lot of people ask me for samples. Yes, if you're serious about beads and cabochons, I'm happy to send you a sample, it's very difficult to judge colours and quality from a little photo, so I think it the best way.

How many do you get in 30gms? Well, I don't know. The photo gives you some idea of how many there are in 70gms, if you feel like guessing games. There are limits to the lengths even I'll go... counting them out one by one just doesn't seem like fun.

First class postage is

  • 45p for 1 lot,
  • 75p for 2
Or I can send 2nd class if you prefer, with suitable reduction.

Check out my other auctions! Happy bidding!

Censorship! My previous attempt to post this auction was cancelled. Ebay are by far the biggest boy on the playground, and although other auction sites don't mind linking to here, ebay won't let me link elsewhere. OK, those are the rules, so I'm playing by them.

Someone's sure to ask "Are they real hematite?". No, I'm 99.999% sure they're not. These are just one item of a huge collection of bankrupt stock, bought about 4 years ago, mostly Swarovski, with a few exceptions like this one.

I wouldn't even know real hematite. I thought it was something that made your blood cells red and carried the oxygen around.

However, they do look good. And they're certainly not plastic, I've tried heating them up with a propane torch and they don't melt. I reckon they're either glass or crystal of some kind.
