beads

This needs a thorough reorganisation, but is a first cut to give some info to visitors. Suggestions and criticisms welcome.

Gill purchased a large amount of beads, cabochons etc some four years ago. Most were manufactured by Swarovski, some by Gustav Lindner and Optima, some are unknown but of a similar high quality. These are now being sold in various auctions, such as eBid (free to bidders and sellers) and eBay.

Perhaps I'll get round to photographing our whole stock, but that's a major job. So, meanwhile, here are some extracts from past, present and future auctions. If the images are slow to download, whinge at me and I might generate little thumbnails for more of them.

Previous auctions, further stock available in some cases

Some of these are being repeated on eBid. The quickest way to find my auctions there is to follow this link .

Prices shown are typical results of my eBay auctions.

Not yet placed on auction, shall probably leave until autumn

I regret to say I think these are now out of stock. But if you're interested in these specifically, I'll be glad to make a more thorough check.
5p each.

Cabs, fuchsia? rose pink? 8x4mm
Not sure what colour to describe these as. Still, whatever colour they are, they're of good quality. A recent buyer has returned wanting 1,000 more! So, whatever colour they are, somebody likes them.
2.5p each.

Cabs, hematite 7x5mm
2p each.

Cabs, hematite 13mm diameter
(Very low stock now, perhaps a dozen left.)
20p each.

If you're fond of large cabs, there's also some big turquoise coloured ones (some are in the photos at the top of this page). Many sizes, such as 13mm round, 16x11 oval, even 18x13. If your taste is more to the smaller delicate ones, we have them in mm steps all the way down to about 2mm.

Cabs, siam 7x5mm
3p each.

Cabs, siam 8mm
(Don't think there's any of these left, but there are some similar 10mm ones with the same deep rich colour.)
3p-4p each.

Swarovski turquoise beads, 8mm

Swarovski turquoise beads, 8mm

STOP PRESS I still have some of these and they're being auctioned on eBid. They were my first auction on eBay, some months ago, and a box of 288 went for £16 there. I'm now auctioning these in trays of 72 on eBid. If you can't find them on eBid, check back in a week's time, I'm sometimes leaving a gap to spread out the last of them.

I'm starting a page to show work that people have done with these materials. Take a look to see what Frances has designed with these beads.
