50 faceted jet chatons
These are black faceted chatons. At least, they are if a chaton is what I assume it is. www.dictionary.com was no use, Google led me a dance, mostly through french sites (who IS Satanic Kitten and why would her weblog be relevant?), and as for checking out Madamoiselle Chaton -- some sites I just daren't click on these days!

So, in case a chaton ISN'T what I think it is, let me try and decribe these little beauties...

They're cut at much the same angles as I imagine a faceted diamond, but they're blacker than the Ace of Spades, blacker than a black cat on a very black night. Though if the moon came out from behind a cloud, you'd be sure to see a glint as the cat's bejewelled collar caught the light. No, you wouldn't, these are much too good to waste on a cat's collar!

I'm not sure what they're made from. The packet says 'jet', but since they're in the same collection I've already been auctioning, mostly Swarovski, it's more likely they're some kind of glass or crystal.

They're made by Optima. If you know anything about that company and its products I'd be interested to hear from you.

They're backed with a kind of bronzy coloured material that I suppose is there to increase the sparkle viewed from the front.

Size. Size matters, but I can't figure out the units used here. What is an 'ss'? I don't know but there's 32 of them, it seems. If you know no more than I do, I suggest you judge the size from the millimetre ruler that's photographed alongside.

First class postage is 28p. If you prefer, second class is 19p. Recorded delivery would be 64p extra. I'm always happy to combine lots and figure out suitable postage.

Happy bidding!

These are just one item of a huge collection of bankrupt stock, bought about 4 years ago, mostly Swarovski.

I'd really like to hear from you if you have ideas on what to do with these or suggestions about the kind of auctions I should be running.
