Cabochons, rich deep ruby, 7x5mm, 20gms
These are oval cabochons, the colour is "Siam", which isn't a colour I previously knew of, so you might prefer to call them "red". Or more likely, when you see them, you'll call them "WOW! What an incredible deep red, just look at how they catch the light, OOOOOH, how many can I have?". Luckily I'm not in sales, or this blurb might rabbit on like that for hours. [yawn]

This particular item is unlabelled, but most of the other stock I have was made by Swarovski or Gustav Lindner and these cabs are very much in the same style. I have about 40gms of them, so I'm dividing them into 2 lots of 20gms each.

How many do you get in 20gms? Well, I don't know. The photo gives you some idea of how many there are in 40gms, if you feel like guessing games. There are limits to the lengths even I'll go... counting them out one by one just doesn't seem like fun. Ummm, oh, I've cropped the photo to fit into 400x300 pixels, so you can't see them all. OK, use your imagination, I'm not some shyster who would lay them out in a pattern to look like it's part of a bigger heap than it really is.

The gold coloured bits in the photo are the back of the cabs, it's some kind of foil or paint, I suppose to increase the sparkle when they catch the light.

If you'd like a few samples of this and other colours and styles, get in touch.

First class postage is

Censorship! My previous attempt to post this auction was cancelled. Ebay are by far the biggest boy on the playground, and although other auction sites don't mind linking to here, ebay won't let me link elsewhere. OK, those are the rules, so I'm playing by them.

"Are they real rubies?". No, they're not. These are just one item of a huge collection of bankrupt stock, bought about 4 years ago, mostly Swarovski, with a few exceptions like this one.

However, they do look good. And they're certainly not plastic, I've tried heating them up with a propane torch and they don't melt. I reckon they're either glass or crystal of some kind.
