June 2004. I've decided to start abandoning fonts. If you don't like the font you see, now you can take control, just adjust your browser settings!
This is not a 'professional' site, don't expect polished layouts, Flash animations and other such triumphs of pizazz over content! Which isn't to make claims the content is so fantastic either, so let's just say that content is my first priority.

This is very much a 'hobby' site. It reflects some of my out-of-hours interests (though by no means all). It's targeted at friends who share some of my interests. If it happens to be of use to a few other people as well, that's a bonus.

The latest section reflects my recent interest in Internet auction sites. If you've seen where I live, you'll know some of the outbuildings can supply enough material for such auctions to last a lifetime, mostly classified in the section "Everything Else / Collectable (but by whom??) / Utterly Bizarre / Gotta Be Kidding!". I've not found an auction site with that category (yet), but some come close and if you gather together 30 million monkeys you may not be able to get the Works of Shakespeare, but you surely can get some crazy bids. Sometimes as much as 99p!

Other sections have been rather static lately, but are mostly concerned with one of my spare-time activities, producing software for MS-DOS users, of general interest for that rather dwindling group, but particular interest for blind and visually impaired users who find GUI applications inappropriate.

I have a strong interest in Linux, so I've added some notes about the Surrey Linux Users Group (SLUG).
